This is a rectangular kenzan (flower frog) used in ikebana (flower arranging). It is a used item. I have cleaned the needles and the base, but the dirt on the back and at the base of the needles could not be removed. There is some slight warping of the needles, but the needles themselves have a nicely aged, blackish color, giving them a pleasant, natural discoloration.
