This is a "tebo" (mesh strainer) used for udon and ramen noodles. It was used regularly, but it's durable and doesn't break easily, so it's still usable. As you can see in the photos, the bottom part of the wooden handle is scorched, but it's fine if you don't mind. The round handle was easy to grip and comfortable.
