Hanging scroll of an Edo kosode. Likely from the 18th or 19th century. It was probably cut up once, taken from another garment, and then made into a hanging scroll. It features flat embroidery, koma embroidery, and a gradation dye. Because it has been made into a hanging scroll, it barely retains its original form, but it likely has no stiffness. Please be aware that there are also tears in various places. Items like this, where the whole thing remains, are of high value. A storage box is included.
