They are completely unavailable even in France, and the price has been soaring year after year. I was miraculously able to purchase a few pairs of these new, unused deadstock M-47 cargo pants, which are incredibly expensive even in Japan. (Description) The M-47 cargo pants were first developed and adopted by the French Army after the war. The early model was adopted from 1947 to the 1950s, while the late model, made of herringbone twill, is said to have been adopted in the 1960s. They feature a wide, loose silhouette, large three-dimensional cargo pockets on the sides, and button-adjustable cuffs. The fabric has a unique vintage texture that creates a great atmosphere. They are exceptionally stylish among many military pants. The double-knee construction reinforces the areas most prone to damage. The front features a button fly with a deep rise. You can also enjoy changing the silhouette by adjusting the straps at the cuffs. Compared to the early model, the slightly tapered silhouette allows for a cleaner look. The price has increased considerably compared to a while ago, but they are already difficult to obtain even in France. The demand far exceeds the supply, and the local price is constantly rising.
