I haven't used it in an environment with pets or tobacco. I haven't used it anywhere that's a source of bad odors. I was using it to deodorize a studio apartment. It's hard to tell from the photos, but I think there are some scratches from use. I don't feel like the performance has decreased, and I think Fujitsu General's products are excellent in terms of deodorizing effects with low-concentration ozone. There are no tears in the filter, but there is a feeling of use. (This filter is designed to be washed with water) This is an item for sale of the main unit only, and there are no instructions or the original box. This is a used item with a feeling of use and minor scratches, so returns are not accepted, and please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such things.
