TEISCO FB-2, a vintage Japanese violin bass from the 1960s. Made by Matsumoku, all original. This is a rare model manufactured for a very short period after TEISCO was acquired by KAWAI in 1967. It features a distinctive scroll headstock and a hollow body construction, producing the thick, dry sound characteristic of this era. It currently has new black tape wound strings, allowing you to fully enjoy the vintage tone. The neck and scroll headstock are in very good condition. All original hardware, tuners, pickups, and electronics are fully functional. The frets also have plenty of life left, and the playability is excellent. The fact that it includes the often-missing - Original scratch plate - Chrome finger rest are also points to be appreciated. The exterior retains its original sunburst finish well, with no repair history or major damage. There is slight peeling on the waist binding and a small repaired scratch on the top of the body, but this does not affect the structure, playability, or sound quality.
