Simagic DS-8X Shifter Troubleshooting, Repair, Harness, Wiring, Simagic, Gear Shift, Sim, Racing Simulator This is a repair harness for the Simagic DS-8X. The original harness is too short and the wiring is prone to disconnection, leading to malfunctions after extended use. Common issues include failure to detect gears, disconnection from the computer, and frequent prompts to update the firmware even when no updates are available. Replacing the harness with this one will resolve these issues immediately. I personally experienced these problems, and several similar issues occurred with others. Replacing the harness resolved the problems for them as well. *This does not guarantee a solution for all malfunctions. Installation instructions are provided in the images.
