Pottery fired at the ancient kiln site of Sukhothai in Thailand after the 14th century was imported to Japan from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period, and was called Song Dynasty Celadon (Sungkorok). Tea masters at the time are said to have treasured it, considering it as tea utensils. This item has a beautiful brown glaze! It's a small jar that would look great with a single flower.
