This is a Tetsubin (iron kettle) from Ryuseido. It was found in the storehouse of my grandfather's house. I washed it with a scrubbing brush, boiled it with a tea bag for 30 minutes, and let it sit for half a day to remove rust. I then boiled water in it and confirmed that the water was clear. I have also confirmed that there are no leaks. The design appears to be of a Uchide no Kozuchi (magic mallet), Koban (gold coins), and a bag. It is a cylindrical Tetsubin. The body is cylindrical with a wide mouth, making it easy to pour water. It is also easy to clean, which is a plus. I believe it will help with iron intake. It is said that it will last a long time if you dry it thoroughly with residual heat and do not burn it empty.
