Purchased at an antique market in Kyoto. It's apparently not that old. It's an ebony hairpin. The design is of a camellia or a sasanqua flower. It features intricate openwork carving. Because it's curved, it's less likely to come loose than a straight hairpin. *Used a few times after purchase, no styling products used.
