I used this coat for my child, who was born in September, for one season, from around December to March. It doesn't have a hood. (My impression after using it is that even if it had a hood, I probably wouldn't have used it much.) Since it's surprisingly warm when you're carrying the baby in a baby carrier, this coat was enough for short walks and shopping trips. It was warm enough. It's a coat with a smooth, blanket-like feel, which is very comfortable and was truly useful. The buttons on the chest are easy to fasten, and I recommend it. I used it a lot, so it shows some signs of wear. Since it rarely touched the baby's mouth or around the bottom, there were no stains from drool, etc. Please understand this before purchasing.
