Even with small flies, the tippet, such as 9x or 10x, can get twisted, so the underside of the hackle is cut horizontally. ❷ Parachute Midge (Chironomid Type) Hook: TMC2487 #20 This is a dry fly, but the body is designed to drift underwater. The hackle is tied only 2-3 turns, just enough to float with surface tension. The poly yarn wing is also minimal, giving it a delicate appearance! Use in slow currents or still water.
