It differs significantly from the depictions of people in the previous Sriwijaya, Lopburi, Dvaravati, and Khmer styles, and is said to have been influenced by the Ceylon Buddha. Sukhothai Buddha is characterized by smooth, feminine curves, with a waist that is not overly slender, maintaining a masculine feel. Basically, they wear only yellow robes and have an overall simple design. The upper part of the head is slightly more stylized than an actual person, with an oval as the basic shape. A major feature is the pointed topknot, shaped like a flame.
