This is a plump and voluminous total shibori (tie-dye). The vibrant, deep pink total shibori has a luxurious feel and will be a great asset for your furisode (long-sleeved kimono). As the shibori part stretches and contracts, this obiage (decorative sash) is easy to tie and unlikely to loosen. I used it only once for my own coming-of-age ceremony. There are no scratches or stains, but there are some areas where the shibori is uneven (see photo 3).
