This is an offering of a Alnico 2 Rod Humbucker (neck only) These pickups are made using an old automatic winding machine inherited from a craftsman who has supported Japanese pickup manufacturing for many years. Instead of a bar magnet, it uses rod magnets, which are used in single-coil pickups, creating a "humbucker that's like two single-coil pickups lined up." In humbucker mode, it sounds more like a thick single-coil, and in coil-tapped mode, it has a single-coil tone. The resistance is high, but it tends to be high because we wind more of the thinner coils than commonly used coils.
