I cut up an obi (sash) I bought used and sewed it into the shape of an otaiko (drum) knot. I attached a string, transforming it into an easy-to-wear, one-piece obi. You just wrap it around, tie the string, and add an obijime (sash cord) and obiage (sash panel) with an obimakura (sash pillow) to complete the look. I like it because it's made of a lightweight material and is easy to move in. I thought the denim-like appearance looked cool and stylish, but my children said it doesn't suit me very well, so I'd like to pass it on to someone who appreciates it. It's hand-sewn, so the stitching isn't as neat as a manufactured product, but please understand. The material is easy to sew, so you could reinforce it yourself. There are stains and fading on the back. Please check the photos. I will fold it easily and ship it via Yu-Packet Post or Yu-Pack.
