A British Winstanley Cat (Kensington Cat), a tabby cat with glossy fur, a lovely piece in size "3". The vintage works by Ms. Winstanley are wonderful, and her creations seem to be looking at you as if they were alive. This cat's face is particularly lovely, with a smile on its mouth, and the pose of raising one hand (or foot?) is adorable, and the beautiful cathedral glass eyes are also very attractive. Winstanley Cats (Kensington Cats) are made carefully one by one, and you can tell the high quality at a glance. The most distinctive feature of the Winstanley Cat is its eyes. These eyes, called cathedral glass eyes, are lovely and captivate the viewer's heart. ❇️ Size is "3", approximately 21 cm in height, 19 cm in depth, and 12 cm in width. ❇️ Condition is a high-quality, beautiful item with no cracks or chips. (Reference) The history of Winstanley Cats - Jenny started making cats when she applied for a position as an assistant at the workshop of her future husband, Allen. In the 1950s, it was initially called the Kensington workshop, but Jenny and her husband began making the distinctive cats she created in 1958, and later they began to use the name Winstanley workshop, Jenny's maiden name. In 1964, they moved the workshop to Norfolk, and exports began, mainly to the United States, France, and Italy. In the 1980s, the number of models increased so much that they could no longer be managed by model numbers. So they decided to classify them by approximate size. In the 1990s, at their peak, they employed five staff and also had a second factory. Jenny passed away in 2004, but her sons have become her successors, and works are still being made today.
