This is an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a high-quality piece with a beautiful gold and silver cloud maki-e design on black lacquer. The rim is painted with shippo (seven treasures) maki-e in red lacquer, and the inside features a crane maki-e design, showcasing a highly elaborate technique. The shape is like a low, flat bowl.
