This is a gorgeous furisode (long-sleeved kimono) with a luxurious classical pattern of imperial court carriages, peonies, pine, wisteria, and plum blossoms in gold-colored designs on a dark red background, with gold threads woven into the fabric. The color is a subdued, dark tone, giving it a sense of weight. The hem is a purplish dark brown, and the hem lining is a similar-toned rinzu (figured silk) with a pearly texture. There is a small stain on the back hem lining, and a mark where an iron-on print was removed from the edge of the lining, but these are not visible when worn.
