This is a listing for a PENTAX Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 8-element lens with genuine accessories. ♦Features♦ While the standard (and later popular) model has a 7-element configuration, this early model was made with a luxurious 8-element design. It was only produced for about 1-2 years after its release in 1964 before being changed to a 7-element configuration for cost reduction and production efficiency. Compared to the 7-element version, it is said to have superior sharpness in the focal plane and smoother out-of-focus rendering. ♦Condition♦ ◯Appearance: B There are fine scratches, marks, and paint wear. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the exterior condition. ◯Operation: B ☑️ Focusing ring/Operation is smooth without any sticking or catching. ☑️ Infinity focus/I have confirmed that the focus is achieved at infinity when the index is set to infinity. ◯Lens Interior: B Disassembly and cleaning were performed as much as possible. There is a small scratch on the rear element (see photo 12). There is also some dust that could not be removed by cleaning, and some wiping marks. ◯Aperture: B The aperture ring operation is slightly stiff and has uneven rotation, but it is within the range of practical use.
