(1991) Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass Fretless Early Fender Custom Shop custom order. This is a precursor to the Jaco model release. Alder body / Maple neck / Rosewood fingerboard coating / No pickguard specification Both the body and neck have the early CS logo and master builder stamp, matching the period (SN: V053XXX) The neck has "YAMANO" (Japanese distributor: Yamano Music), "Herbert Gastelum" (neck craftsman who supported Fender's golden age from around 1961), The body has "Jay Madore" (Fender master builder / current Suhr Guitar master builder) No modifications or replacement parts are apparent, but the truss rod is unconfirmed due to my amateur status. There is some dirt on the back of the body, which is not visible during play, but otherwise it is in good condition for its age. Please refer to the photos for the condition. Electronics and neck are almost straight, and it's ready to play! Included: Gig bag. As this is a musical instrument from over 30 years ago, and I am not an expert, please understand the description/photos and be willing to accept the instrument as is, with no returns or claims. Please refrain from purchasing if you do not understand used instruments or are overly sensitive. I cannot compensate for shipping accidents, so I prefer pre-inspection/direct hand-off. Gastelum," and "Jay Madore" on the body is unlikely to be available at this price in the future. A Custom Shop Jazz Bass with similar specifications to the Jaco model currently costs over 1 million yen, so I think this is a great deal. I have set the price so that even those who only have an American Vintage budget but want a Custom Shop can purchase it, so please consider it as soon as possible!
