Boxed, Extremely Rare, Vintage Item
Electric Jump Rope Monkey
Requires two size D batteries, inserted into the leg case. Turning on the switch makes the monkey jump rope.
It has a cute monkey face when you look closely.
This toy is about 50 years old.
TOT was a toy manufacturer that existed in Japan. The logo is "TOT" under a coffee cup. It was a subcontractor of Nomura Toy.
About 10 years ago, I found this unused item as inventory during the closing of a fancy shop near my parents' house, and I bought it because I thought it was rare.
There are some issues, so please check the description carefully.
It seems that the brass claw clasp, which is probably made of brass and used to secure the battery compartment, is missing, along with a small crack in the plastic. (Photo 8, unfortunately)
I would be happy to sell this to someone who can repair it or who is happy to display it as a Showa-era retro item.
Because it's a premium item, I taped the clasp before listing it and tested the operation, and it still works! (I was happy about this!)
