I purchased this and used it only once, then stored it away in the back of my closet. It can be used for both Western and Japanese clothing. I carried a kimono in this bag on the Shinkansen (bullet train) for transport, and it didn't look obviously like a bag for Japanese clothing, which was great. (I had Japanese clothes inside, but since I was dressed in Western clothes during the trip, it didn't give off that "look at me, I'm carrying a kimono!" vibe, which was very good.) For anyone who can use it. There are no smokers or pets in the household.
