This is a hard case for a bass guitar, previously used for instrument storage. I'm not sure what it was originally made for, but my Rickenbacker 4003 fits perfectly (of course, the bass in the photo is not included). I haven't tried it with other basses, so I'm not sure what else it would fit. I used it to store a lap steel guitar. The metal hardware has "CHENEY England" stamped on it, indicating that it uses Cheney parts from England, so I believe it's a relatively high-quality case. It's old, but I haven't taken it out much, so it's in good condition with minimal wear. There is no key.
