This is a remade pair of rare 80s 501s in pre-dyed black. I acquired them in this condition. The inside has been unpicked and another denim fabric (also likely Levi's black) has been docked. The stitching is quite neat, but the inseam has a bit of a handmade feel. If you're concerned, you could have it altered somewhere. Using pre-dyed black with good color remaining is a luxury in itself these days, and it's a very stylish custom. The tag says 34/30, but the hem has been cut, and for me, at 165cm, they don't drag on the ground if I wear them cuffed. You could create an A-line silhouette with a minimalist outerwear piece, or wear them with a T-shirt and sandals in the summer. They'd also be interesting with more voluminous shoes.
