Made with artificial semi-porcelain, a combination of porcelain clay and pottery clay, and coated with a glossy, crack-resistant transparent glaze. The grayish white color and the rugged appearance reminiscent of industrial products, yet the traces of the hands from analog techniques within them, surprisingly do not give a cold impression. Tetsuhiro Iwata A ceramic artist based in Tokyo. Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture in 1981. After graduating from the Architecture Course, Faculty of Fine Arts, Kyoto Seika University in 2004, he worked at an interior shop. In 2014, he entered the Tochigi Prefectural Ceramics Guidance Center. From 2016, he apprenticed under Ms. Kan Ito of Okayama Prefecture.
