The DRIVE gain is high, with distortion at MAX, overdrive between 3 o'clock and 10 o'clock, crunch between 10 o'clock and 8:30, and a clean effect between 8:30 and 0. For TONE, the sweet spot is after 3 o'clock and near MAX, just like the Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive. VOLUME has a toggle switch: up for normal (TS mode) starts at 1 o'clock, middle for bright (Dumble mode) increases the volume, so start around 12 o'clock for normal volume, and down for warm (Marshall mode) decreases the volume, so start around 2:30 for normal volume. If you want more distortion, use the Marshall mode; if you want a natural compression feel, use the TS mode; if you want a tube amp-like natural distortion, the Dumble mode is recommended!! When using it as a booster, set the DRIVE knob between 8:30 and 0, and the TONE between 3:30 and MAX. This will give you a TS808-like boost, and it's a real bargain for the price. In the end, the sound is basically a Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive, even though the name is different ^_^b
