The collar is made of soft, smooth rabbit fur. The threads on the buttons have come loose since I purchased it, so I've reattached some of them. (See photos 7, 8, 9, and 10) The inner buttons haven't been used much, but one is a little loose. (See photo 7, 15th image) I've worn it a fair amount, so there's a sense of use, but I don't think there are any noticeable stains.
