● A set of two adorable small dishes: a hand-painted, hand-crafted sometsuke mamezara (small dish) with a charming blue floral pattern from the early Edo period (with beautiful crackle glaze, all pieces had crackle but I selected those with a nice pattern), and a small dish with a beautiful hand-drawn, wavering pattern by a potter from the late Edo period (minor scratches from use in the center). - Size: Just under 3 sun (approx. 8.7-8.9cm in diameter), a small and cute size even among small dishes. The floral pattern one, said to be from the early Edo period, is considered rare, so it's recommended for mamezara collectors!** - Shape: Chrysanthemum-shaped rim / Wavy, flower-shaped rim - Material: Ceramic - Color: An indescribable off-white with a hint of celadon from the early Edo period / The refreshing aquamarine color of the wavering pattern is lovely. Despite being quite antique, both dishes have colors that are not too strong, making them easy to pair with both Kinrande Ko-Imari and modern Japanese tableware. I use both of them as practical items on my dining table✧* ※※※ Thank you for viewing. I've become fascinated with antique plates from the Meiji and Edo periods and have accumulated quite a collection (*^^*) I'd like to share some of the surplus. Unlike modern ceramics, there may be areas without glaze, small chips, kiln marks, adhesions, and distortions that occurred during the creation by old potters. It has a different charm than new items, so please take a close look at the images. The period is slightly different depending on the antique shop appraiser's interpretation. Please understand that the period is based on what I was told when I purchased them. I hope that those who love antiques, Ko-Imari, old folk house cafes, traditional restaurants, and samurai mansion restaurants will purchase them✧ #LateEdoPeriod #EarlyMeijiPeriod #EdoPeriod #MeijiPeriod #EarlyImari #Antique #AntiqueGoods #FleaMarket #Antique #RetroLover #ChinoiserieLover #Tableware #KitchenSupplies #Vintage #SmallDishes #Mamezara #Discontinued #Rare #Crafts #Sometsuke #ReliefCarving #ChopstickRest #Celadon
