GEWA Violin, 2013, 4/4 GEWA is a brand that can be recommended with confidence to beginners and amateur orchestra members alike. I myself purchased my first violin from GEWA during my student days, and it was recommended to me by a trusted workshop in Tokyo. This model would cost around 180,000 to 200,000 yen if purchased as a set at a store. This violin is made in China under the complete supervision of GEWA, a company that has been selling stringed instrument supplies in Germany for a long time. The quality is very high, and the sound and construction are comparable to instruments in the 300,000 yen class. If made in Europe, it would probably cost more than twice as much. The fitting parts are also of higher quality than those of typical entry-level models, and they have a dignified appearance. It is easy to play even for beginners, and it is characterized by its ability to produce a solid volume of sound without strain. There are some minor scratches from use, but there is no noticeable damage, and the overall condition is good. *Bows and cases are not included, but can be arranged for an additional fee if desired (there are also several spares that are not listed).
