This is an Expert of Japan pick stick (whippet pole). I purchased it about three years ago and carried it a few times for backcountry skiing and mountaineering. As you can see in the image, the logo is slightly faded, possibly due to rubbing against luggage, but it has not been used, so it is in a clean condition without rust. I purchased two Black Diamond whippet poles this year and no longer have plans to use this one, so I am putting it up for sale. It is lighter than a whippet pole. Having one is reassuring on questionable slopes.
