After washing and drying, the threads are untied to complete the process. ⚠️‼️ Due to international circumstances, the weak yen, and the impact of the coronavirus, the production volume in the local area has been drastically decreasing year by year due to labor costs, a shortage of technicians, and a decrease in the production of natural indigo. High-quality handmade items with fine patterns are becoming very rare and expensive. ● The dye color is darker and the fabric feels thicker than items found in kimono and Japanese goods stores. Fabric size: Approximately 140cm x 140cm (No. 105111) The display table is 120cm wide x 75cm deep x 35cm high. 100% cotton hand-squeezed indigo dye, easy-to-use square shape No sashiko stitching Color Fastening, Usage, and Washing Tips: ● Color Fastening Dissolve a generous tablespoon of salt in an appropriate amount of cold water (500cc-1L, enough to fully submerge the fabric) in a plastic bag, soak the fabric, and remove the air. Leave it overnight. Gently wash with water, remove the salt, and dry in the shade. This will set the natural indigo dye and remove the tea-greenish discoloration, restoring the original vividness of the indigo. If the color becomes dull during use, it will become vivid again with this method. By repeating this process, you can enjoy the gentle blue color unique to indigo for a long time! ● Usage Please be careful as the color may transfer due to friction when used with light-colored fabric products or leather products. Be careful when using it as a bed cover or sofa cover. It is recommended to use it after repeating color fastening and washing several times. ● Washing Since the indigo dye will bleed during washing, the color may transfer, so it cannot be washed with other items for at least 2-3 times. At my home, I use it as a tablecloth and bed cover, and the fabric is thick and sturdy, and it is a beloved item that can be used for a long time while enjoying the change in color. ※ Although it is wrapped in wrapping paper and stored in a cool, dark place, due to the cotton material and natural indigo dye, the areas exposed to air may slightly discolor due to the oxidation of the dye.
