These are kuro-moji (Japanese toothpicks used for wagashi, traditional Japanese sweets) made in Tendo City, famous for being a production area of shogi pieces. There are 4 toothpicks with a kokeshi doll design and 3 with a shogi piece design, making them a very Japanese item. Unopened, but due to long-term storage at home, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such things.
