Pottery fired at the ancient kiln site of Sukhothai in Thailand from the 14th century onwards was imported to Japan from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period, and was called Song Dynasty Celadon (Sungkorok). Tea masters at the time are said to have regarded it as tea utensils and treasured it. This item is a small jar with a wonderful atmosphere of black glaze, perfect for a single flower arrangement. It can be used as a tea utensil, vase, or flower vase. ■Size (approx.)
