BOSS DM-3 Analog Delay Released in 1984 as the successor to the legendary DM-2. Improvements over the DM-2 included a focus on noise reduction and the adoption of a constant-voltage type BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) element. A DIRECT OUT jack was also added. There were no major changes to the circuit structure, and while it seemed like it should have been a more popular model, the Matsushita delay element used in the DM-3 was discontinued around 1988, resulting in the DM-3 being sold for only four years, from 1984 to 1988. As a result, the number of well-preserved units in circulation is extremely small, making it a rare find. Notably, the three knobs use a unique knob shape that is not typically used. This knob was never used on any other BOSS model, making it a unique feature in BOSS's long history. This is a point to consider for collectors. To operate correctly, a 9V battery or the old BOSS ACA-100 adapter (or equivalent) is required. By the way, with incompatible third-party adapters (Free The Tone, Strymon, etc.), the Check lamp may dim, or the intended effect may not be achieved. This is an item for sale of the pedal itself only. The pedal guide bushings (rubber) were deteriorated, so they have been replaced with new ones. Please refer to the images for details.
