The subtle differences in the size of the circles were useful for both. I bought these a few years ago, and I don't remember how many times I used them, but they were great for making bento boxes for my children's events. The silver parts are a bit dull and rough, but they might have been like that from the beginning (see photo 2). I don't think there are any other noticeable stains or scratches. Please check the photos for details, as they may be difficult to see. Please understand that there may be some oversights. There are no instructions.
