The lower leg portion can be detached with a zipper, allowing them to be worn as shorts. The detached lower leg portions can be attached to either the left or right side. They have a moderate firmness and stiffness, and repel dirt and water, making them useful in various situations such as mountain climbing and camping. They can be worn from spring to autumn.
