Hand-thrown and hand-painted plate by Jacob Gelzer of Switzerland. Size: 20.5 cm diameter, approximately 3 cm deep. Features a rim of about 1 cm. The piece is finished with glossy, hand-painted deep indigo lines on a white base. The thick, transparent glaze gives it a mirror-like reflective surface. Work from around 1990. Perfect for fruits and Japanese sweets! Due to age-related wear, there is a chip on the rim, approximately 4x30 mm, hence the reduced price. A clear plate stand (13.5 x 11 x 3 cm) is included for display. It's transparent and unobtrusive, and allows for angle adjustment in 1 mm increments. Gelzer was a ceramic artist born in 1925.
