SPICA by Sanritsu Electric. This is a transistor radio, MODEL AT-60, with a 6-transistor configuration, made to American specifications. I believe it was manufactured in the 1960s. The variable capacitor uses an air variable capacitor, the same type used in the vacuum tube era. The transistors are the long-barrel type, and the part numbers are the early two-digit type. The size is approximately 127 x 87 x 36 mm, and the weight is approximately 407g (including batteries). The power source is 4 AA batteries, providing 6V. Inserting batteries into the battery box is quite a tight fit. The reception sensitivity is good. The radio receives the broadcasts of stations covering this area well. Both the tuning dial and the volume dial are smooth, considering the many years that have passed. In terms of appearance, the gold-plated front grille has a slight dent. There are also some scratches on the body case. Please understand and acknowledge that this is a radio with a well-used feel from many years of use before purchasing it as a vintage collection of Showa retro items.
