These are custom-made shinai with a length of 36, designed to pass the junior high school weight check, as a 37 would be too long for a small boy entering junior high school. One of the two shinai has a leather grip (gin-tsuka) attached. Also included are two brand new 37 shinai with leather grips. These are suitable for children starting junior high school in April to get used to the weight and thickness, or for smaller junior high school students.
