Montbell Compact Snow Spikes These are very small spikes that attach to the arch of the foot, but the 8 points provide a firm grip in both vertical and horizontal directions. However, because the points are small, they are not recommended for snowy paths with slopes. They can be easily attached by simply securing them with rubber bands. The width of the concave metal fitting is 78mm. These cannot be attached to shoes with a sole width wider than this, so be sure to check, and if they don't fit, it's best to choose a different type. Like the Snow Spike 6, the underside features a wavy anti-snow plate that prevents snow from sticking.
