C211 This is a fabric woven with thick, coarse yarns in a plain weave. Although it has a somewhat see-through quality due to the coarseness, the fabric is thick and soft. It's a type of Tsumugi (pongee) fabric, and because the yarn has slubs and knots, and variations in thickness, the weave is not uniform and has an uneven texture, giving it character. The color is also not consistent, so there are areas that look striped or have a gradient effect. Suitable for multi-covers, sashiko fabric, noren (Japanese curtains), clothing, and remaking materials.
