This is a cup and saucer from Fürstenberg, a German porcelain manufacturer founded in 1747. While Meissen is famous when it comes to German tableware, Fürstenberg is also a leading German maker. Shortly after, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi department store held a special exhibition of Western tableware, including this manufacturer, and my mother purchased this there. It has been displayed beautifully in the china cabinet for a long time. It was only used for a very short time. Even now, the gold decoration shines brilliantly, showing no sign of aging.
