This is a French vintage black cotton smock, likely from the 1930s-40s, and is practically an antique. While indigo linen smocks are well-known, these black cotton smocks are incredibly rare and hard to find. There are some repairs and small holes, but the cotton material isn't fragile and won't easily tear.
