The 24-inch short-scale Mustang, manufactured at the Corona factory in California, offers the authentic tone and feel of a USA-made Fender, featuring modern specifications that inspire performance. It features two specially developed single-coil pickups that produce a rich and expressive tone. These pickups have staggered, beveled pole pieces for high output, and are potted in a shellac solution to suppress feedback while delivering a dynamic sound. It is equipped with a Greasebucket™ tone circuit that attenuates the low frequencies appropriately when the tone is rolled off, preventing muddiness. Furthermore, it features a Mustang bridge with modern vintage-style grooved saddles. The Modern C-shaped neck with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets, allowing for smooth and accurate bending. Some people found the slide switches on previous Mustangs difficult to switch during performance, but this model allows for smooth pickup switching.
