These leg covers are used to prevent getting wet from snow or rain. I think they can be used up to around lower elementary school age. I used them once or twice and they no longer fit. They are plain, so they can be used by both boys and girls. The name written in permanent marker has been erased. There are a few places where the threads are frayed.
