■ 1960s vintage LEVI'S 501XX final model, without hidden rivets. This is the final model of the 501XX, without the hidden rivets that are synonymous with the XX. The V-stitch suggests a W-name or type model, but the absence of bar tacks on the crotch fold, a 100% certain indication of XX, along with the paper patch (if it remained) would have had the XX designation. Aluminum rivet backs → no-guarantee XX. Fly button with long "R". Based on the center loop on-set, etc., I believe this was manufactured around 1965. Top button back marked "J", made in the San Jose, California factory. From the mid-60s, there was a period of mixed cotton and spun threads, and this individual also has spun threads on the back center and yoke. A rare individual with a mix of three types of threads: yellow cotton thread, orange cotton thread, and orange spun thread. The denim itself has a deep indigo blue unique to the rough vintage Levi's. The fading is particularly excellent, and it's rare to find an individual with such beautiful whiskers and abrasion marks. The selvedge on the side seams is also beautifully open and shows abrasion marks. There are several repairs as shown in the images. Repairs were done from the beginning, but the repairs were poorly done, so I undid the repairs and redid them from scratch. About 30 years ago, I was given a non-sale display from an American shop, and I have carefully stored it, wearing it only a few times after obtaining it. This is a personally cherished item, so I would like to sell it to someone who appreciates its value. I am listing it this time. Suspender buttons were added after I obtained it, so there are traces of them being removed. The fabric itself is thick denim that retains its firmness, and the repairs are kept to a minimum. Actual size is about W38-39 inches; the model in the image is 175cm tall and wearing it at the waist.
