A stately bronze (cast) pheasant incense burner. It has been stored at home for a long time, still in its box. The feathers serve as a lid, which can be removed to burn incense inside. There appears to be some corrosion in places, but this is likely the characteristic patina of copper. See photos. It is made of bronze (cast) and appears to be entirely gold-leafed, but it is unknown if it is actually gold leaf. It is a traditional Japanese craft item. The black base on which the pheasant sits is made of plastic, and the name of the person who gave it is written on the back in gold lettering. The box is included, but it is dirty and torn.
