This is a complete set of furisode (long-sleeved kimono) that was custom-made at the Mitsukoshi department store in 1992. I heard from my parents that the set cost about 1 million yen. The fabric is heavy and has a substantial feel. It's a furisode in a matcha green and subdued pink color with a classic pattern. In 2014, I had the furisode professionally cleaned and re-sewn. The cleaning, re-sewing, stain protection, and a new nagajuban (long undergarment) cost a total of about 100,000 yen. I'm offering this for sale because I'd love for someone who appreciates it to wear it. During the re-sewing process, any yellowing, streaks, or stains that occurred when adjusting the size were taken care of, and there are currently no noticeable "flaws." It has also been treated with Scotchgard. When the furisode was re-sewn, I had a new nagajuban made to match the size. (The nagajuban is polyester.) This is a 3-piece set: furisode, nagajuban, and obi (sash). The fourth photo shows me wearing it. I am 174cm tall with a yuki of 72cm, so the length is a bit tight. I think it would be a good fit for someone between 161cm and 171cm tall. Due to my age, I no longer have opportunities to wear it, so I hope someone will. It's a very beautiful furisode, and I think it's a color and pattern that can be worn not only for Coming-of-Age Day, but also for New Year's, engagement ceremonies, and weddings, even in your 30s.
