It's made of cotton with a terry cloth-like design (not fleece). I think it can be worn in seasons other than summer (in my opinion). I wore it sparingly and took good care of it, so I don't see any stains. Overall, the item is in good condition. However, it is a used item and has been stored at home, so there may be oversights.
